Professional tooth cleaning
at the dental practice
Dr. Kogan & Colleagues
The prophylaxis (professional tooth cleaning) is a provisionary treatment and serves the preservation of healthy and beautiful teeth. On top of that, it prevents severe sicknesses of the dental holding apparatus and protects the mouth area from chronical sicknesses, like for example, a periodontitis. Besides the daily mouth hygiene, you perform within your home, we recommend getting a professional tooth cleaning at least two times a year. This way you make sure, that possible problems are recognized early and that you can prove to your health insurance that you are taking care of your teeth in a responsible fashion (this is needed for cost absorption in case of dental interventions).
At the dental practice Dr. Kogan & Colleagues you are in the trained hands of specially educated prophylaxis-nurses, who will clean and protect your teeth with a soft touch and the most modern techniques/equipment. After a thorough examination, your teeth will be freed from hard and soft plaque, as well as discoloring’s and other traces of food & drink. After that, your teeth will get polished with a special polishing compound, which will create a delightful feeling inside your mouth and reduce the development and apposition of new plaque. Last but not least, you will get a treatment with a special fluoride-lack, or gel, which will harden the enamel of your teeth and prevent the development of caries.
Besides the cleaning & provisionary treatments of your teeth, you will get an extensive consultation through our trained staff, incl. advice to optimize your mouth hygiene. We actively support you in preserving the health and beauty of your teeth and are looking forward to meeting you in person in our modern dental practice. Make an appointment for a noncommittal consultation today.
Important: We especially recommend pregnant women to undergo provisionary treatments on a regular basis. Inflammations in the mouth area are transported via the blood through the entire body and can cause a premature delivery in some cases. A regular professional tooth cleaning prevents this scenario and protect mother and child.
